Oliver bear spent 30 long and painful years in a Chinese bile farm before being rescued in 2010 by charity Animals Asia. Oliver went on to live a further 4 years at the beautiful sanctuary where his story touched everyone who met him, including me. He changed a nation and continues to following his passing in November 2014. I drew this image of Oliver as he had finished his afternoon stroll licking honey and taking a well deserved dip in his own pool during a hot summers day in China. The print also has a copy of Oliver's very own paw which was taken during one of his health checks.
